Skin Boosters

Deep Hydration & Skin Smoothing

Good skincare works from the outside in. Skin boosters work the other way around.

These are injectable treatments placed within the dermis rather than under it, so they improve the condition of your skin rather than the shape of your face. They restore hydration, improve elasticity and encourage your skin to produce its own collagen. If you are happy with your features but not with how your skin looks in daylight or in photographs, this is the category to be looking at.

Elizabeth offers two options, and they do genuinely different jobs. One is about hydration and glow, the other adds lift and long-term collagen support. Which is right for you depends on your skin and what you want to change, and that is what the consultation is for.

"We are passionate about delivering high-quality beauty treatment that promotes confidence and makes you feel good - because you look great!"

How It Works

Two Options, Two Different Jobs

SKINVIVE by JUVÉDERM is for hydration and radiance. Micro-droplets of hyaluronic acid are injected just below the surface to improve hydration within the skin itself. It adds no volume and changes nothing about your shape. It suits the face, neck, hands and décolletage, and works particularly well on smile lines across the cheeks and fine lines around the eyes. Studies show improvements in smoothness and hydration lasting up to nine months from a single treatment. Most people are back to normal within a day.

HArmonyCa does something different. It combines hyaluronic acid, which gives an immediate lift, with calcium hydroxylapatite, which acts as a scaffold encouraging your body to build its own collagen over the months that follow. It is placed deeper, in the dermal and sub-dermal layers, and is used for the jawline, cheeks, temples and deeper smile lines. Results typically last between 18 and 24 months. Redness or swelling usually settles within a day or two.

Trust and Authority

Skin Booster Treatments in Ashford, Kent

Injecting within the skin needs a proper understanding of what sits beneath it. These are medical treatments, and the difference between a good result and a disappointing one comes down to correct assessment and correct placement, not the product on the shelf.

It also matters that someone is honest with you about which one you need. These two treatments are often sold interchangeably because both get called skin boosters, but they do different jobs and cost different amounts. Recommending the more expensive one by default is easy. Telling you that the cheaper option is the right fit takes a bit more integrity.

Elizabeth is a Registered Nurse and Official Prescriber, trained in advanced facial aesthetics at Harley Street, working from a CQC-registered clinic in Ashford. She will assess your skin, explain plainly which option suits it, and tell you if the answer is neither.

During your Free Consultation, we will assess your skin. Generally, SKINVIVE™ is for those seeking hydration and a “glow”, while HArmonyCa™ is for those wanting more structural support and lifting.

  • Avoid Makeup: Do not use makeup for 12 hours following the procedure.
  • Activity: Avoid strenuous activity for the first 24 hours.
  • Exposure: Avoid extreme weather, sun exposure, and tanning lamps for 24 hours. For SKINVIVE™, avoid saunas or hammams for two weeks.
  • Massage: If small lumps (nodules) appear after HArmonyCa™, you should massage the treated area.

It is common to experience mild reactions such as erythema (redness), oedema (swelling), pain, or tenderness. These are temporary and usually resolve within a few days to a week.

Fillers add volume and change shape, restoring structure where it has been lost. Skin boosters work on the condition of the skin itself. SKINVIVE adds no volume at all. HArmonyCa does give some lift, which puts it closer to the middle ground, but its main purpose is stimulating your own collagen rather than filling. If you want fuller cheeks or lips, you want a filler. If your skin has started to look tired or crepey, you want this.

Usually just one for either option, which is unusual for this kind of treatment. SKINVIVE lasts up to around nine months and HArmonyCa typically 18 to 24 months, so most people have a single appointment and then return when the effect starts to fade. Elizabeth will confirm what to expect for your skin at your consultation.

It depends which one you have. SKINVIVE improves hydration gradually over the first few weeks as the skin takes up the product. HArmonyCa gives an immediate lift from the hyaluronic acid, then continues improving over the following months as collagen develops. Neither is an instant transformation, and any initial swelling needs to settle before you judge the result.

Yes. Neither is suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or where there is an active skin infection or inflammation in the area being treated. Certain medical conditions, autoimmune disorders and medications also rule them out. Elizabeth takes a full medical history at your consultation and will tell you honestly if this is not the right treatment for you.

Often yes, and some combinations work well. Timing matters though, both for comfort and so that any swelling from one treatment doesn’t obscure the result of another. Tell Elizabeth what else you are having or considering and she will sequence them sensibly rather than doing everything at once.
