No. This is the most common worry about the treatment and it is a myth. Dermaplaning removes fine vellus hair at the surface, and it grows back exactly as it was, at the same texture and colour. The reason people think otherwise is that a freshly cut hair has a blunt end rather than a tapered one, which can feel coarser for a few days. It is not growing back differently.

Very little is needed. Come with clean skin and no makeup if you can, though it is not a problem if you cannot. Avoid strong actives like retinol and acids for a few days beforehand, and stay out of the sun or off sunbeds in the week before. If you are being waxed, hair needs to be long enough to remove, roughly the length of a grain of rice. Anything else we will cover with you when you arrive.
