We provide a long-acting injectable corticosteroid treatment designed to suppress the body’s overactive immune response to pollen. Unlike daily tablets, which can have peaks and troughs in effectiveness, this treatment is designed to provide sustained relief throughout the peak of the hay fever season.
The treatment is a single intramuscular injection, typically administered into the large muscle of the buttock. It is a quick procedure that allows the medication to be released slowly into the bloodstream over several weeks.
This treatment is reserved for individuals with severe hay fever symptoms that have not responded to standard over-the-counter or GP-prescribed oral antihistamines. During your Clinical Consultation, we will assess your medical history and current symptoms to ensure this is a safe and appropriate option for you.
Your £10 consultation is a vital step to ensure patient safety. We will discuss your previous allergy treatments, any existing medical conditions, and the potential benefits and risks of the injection. If you proceed with the treatment, this £10 fee is fully deducted from the final cost.
For best results, many patients choose to have the treatment at the very start of the hay fever season or when they notice their standard medication is no longer managing their symptoms effectively.
